The “Kunrau Ecology School” has been located since the mid-1990s in the Kunrau Chateau, the manor house built in Kunrau in the last third of the 18th century by Theodor Hermann Rimpau, the lord of the manor. In 2005, the Association took over the management of the institution from the district Altmarkkreis Salzwedel. The Ecology School is a so-called extra-curricular learning centre based on the decree of the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs on ecology schools in the state of Saxony-Anhalt as of 01 August 2012, last amended on 09 November 2016. Teaching events are offered on different topics from the areas of nature, ecology and the environment.
